The contemporary standard pitch tuning lies at pitch a=442 Hz (Hertz).

Most of our recorders are tuned in that pitch.

Who studies historical playing praxis however will soon have to do with different tunings.

There are a=466 Hz for the music of the Renaissance and Middle Ages, The tuning a=415 Hz for the baroque music and, very specific, the tuning a=392 Hz for music of the French Baroque. We check our instruments thoroughly if they are in so called good tuning and garantee you this with our seal of approval.
