Sammartini was born 1693 in Milano and went in an age of 35 years to London, which became his second home and were he died in 1750. He left a comprhenesive collection of instrumental music - solo- and triosonatas, Concerti grossi, overtures and concerts. The presented sonatas were taken from the collection Sonate à Solo col Loro Basso.
