Sarri (1679 - 1744) spent most of his lifetime in Naples. He composed almost only operas, oratorios, church-services and vocal music. As instrumental works only one recorder concert is conserved as well as the presented three sonatas, whose pitch range suggest the casting with an alto recorder. They really are a beautiful supplement for every "beginner" in baroque-sonatas.
