Klezmer is a musical tradition of the Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern Europe: Typically, the sound, froma clarinet, fiddle, guitar, accordion in various combinations, is wild, raw and energetic when fast, and plaintive and melancholy when slow. Apologies to purists if these recorder arrangements for recorder quartet (SATB) by Marg Hall fall far short of the true nature of the genre.
