Leenhouts, Paul - The Tale of the Old Saguaro - SATB + ATGbSb
This composition was written 1993 in order of the Dutch Bamboo-recorder-fraternity for double-quartet with bamboo- or recorder. It represents the breathetaking desert-landscape in the South of Arizona, whose symbol is the giant cactus Saguaro. The piece is techniqually as well as rhythmically sophisticated and demands a sensitive interpretation.
