Voice Flute Ralf Ehlert, 415 Hz, europ. boxwood

The from France to England emigrated instrument maker Peter Bressan (1663-1731) seemed to ave exclusively worked with the construction of recorders. And thereby he brought it to extraordinary perfection, from which all conserved instruments in museums and private collections demonstrate. The basis for my reconstructions are the instruments from the Brüggen and Bate collection, from the museum „Preußischer Kulturbesitz“ in Berlin as well as the Musée de la Musique in Paris.

The reconstruction of this voice flute in 415 Hz with European box wood by Ralf Ehlert convinces with its full, powerful sound, light, felxible response and exceptional intonation. Through its pitch range it is especially well suited for the realisation of baroque traverse flute literature from France.
