The sonata per il Flauto traverso e Basso was composed 1771 and was probably dedicated to Friedrich the Great. In order to make it playable for alto recorder, this beautiful sonata was uptransposed one terce, a coming practice already in the 18th century to make traverse recorder literature available also for recorder players.
Order of movements: Adagio - Allegretto - Allegro ma non troppo
