The vocal works Con qué la lavaré (Anonymus) and Mille regretz (Josquin de Prez) were used by Pedaggio as models for virtuoso diminutions. In the first composition unusually all four parts are diminished while the upper part of Josquins vocal movement is a challenge for virtuoso recorder players
