A tribute to the French physician under almost the same name, who operated as the first person troublesome tendon shortening on the hand. The piece actually consists of an only small pitch range, rhythmically varied, with modern playing techniques with flutter tonguing, whiff-sounds, dynamics with increasing and falling pitch and eigths-tones and multiphonics. The composition is variable from three to six recorders. Dupuy Tren was written as an ordered composition for the ensemble competitiom of the Recorder-Symposium Calw 1992.
