Five fantasies for 2 recorders by Bernardino Lupacchino and four fantasies by John Maria Tasso from Primo Libro a due voci, a popular and often reprinted collection from the 16. century, that was probably written for didactical purposes. Musically these to duos are rather difficult and become accessible for the player only after repetition. Only then one can understand the great quality of the form and the structure.
