Lara, Ana - Icaro - Altblockflöte solo

Who does know the story of Ikarus, who came- despite all warnings- to close to the sun, with wings made of wax and feathers by his father Dädalus and then fell at Samos into the Icarian sea. Inspired by the ythology of Ikarus- Ana Lara awakens diverse associations in her composition. The music from „Icaro“ is like a poetic journey through different sound-spaces and atmospheres- silence, eruptions, differenciated colours and nuances determine the piece. Many of the used contemporary playing techniques remind on the sound and way of playing of traditional South American blowing instruments.
