G-alto recorder, Löbner medieval, 442 Hz, maple/plum, this recorder appears outside as well as inside to be totally cylindrical.
It is an attempted reconstruction after illustrations of recorders from paintings and printings from the 15th century. Simple in the external shape, these recorders convince despite their small pitch range of 1 ½ octaves in their base-tuned, enormous sound. They are built in 2 intonations each in the base tones c and g.
The wood is European fruit wood or Canadian maple.
