Although Uccellini is known as one of the leading representers of the violin-plays in the 17th century in North- Italy and his instrumental music mainly is composed for strings, the two presented sonatas are excellently suited for the performance on soprano recorder. Octaving is only neccessary in few bars. A beautiful supplement of the Early-Baroque playing-literature for the recorder.
