The ‘Tertia Symphonia’ for three recorders and basso continuo is part of the Johannes-Historie ‘Repræsentatio harmoniaca conceptionis et nativitatis S. Joannis Baptistæ’, with which the organist and Kapellmeister Daniel Bollius (born according to recent research probably around 1585 in Ansbach, died around 1642 probably in Mainz) went down in the early history of the oratorio in Germany as a pioneer of Italian influences.
