Meyer, Raphael Benjamin - Irish Suite - recorder orchestra

Raphael B. Meyer wrote the Irish Suite on behalf of the Swiss ERTA (European Recorder Teachers Association) for a larger recorder formation. The result is a demanding composition, which can be practised, but which is not too much fun. For the traditional Irish music with its simple basic structure and the catchy, simple melodies touches students and teachers alike. With the Irish Suite, Raphael B. Meyer creates a work in three movements that are designed in such a way that they can be played at different speeds and omitting the ornaments without the music losing any of its effect.
