Morley's treatise "A Plaine and Easie Introduction to Practicall Musicke", 1608, deals with elementary music ("teaching to sing") and counterpoint for beginners and advanced students ("treating of descant" and "treating of composing or setting of songs"). The text, written in dialogue form, is enlivened by remarkable descriptions of music, musicians, musical performance and compositional practice. This edition includes duets from it, variously arranged for alto, tenor and bass recorders by Adrian Wehlte.
