Karel van Steenhoven composed Silent Danger for the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet. It is an experimental and spiritual work, a game of tunes, chords, sounds and unusual effects. The idea behind it Steenhoven describes as followed: "Solange Musik ziellos ist, bleibt sie frei, beweglich, entwickelt sich; wird sie zielsuchend, wird sie steif, läuft sich in wiederholten Akkorden fest." (As long as music is aimless, it remains free, mobil, evolves ; is it used goal-searching it becomes stiff and runs to be entightened in repeating chords)- A thankful exercise for advanced recorder players, a coposition worth listening for the audiences.
