product detailsFinest, selcted and longterm matured resonant woods are used for the manufacturing of recorders. Only the so called tonewoods can be used for building musical instruments. For school recorders those are peartree and maple from the alp area, also plume- and cherry tree are logged for a great part in those areas. Olive wood grows in the whole Mediterranean area.
All the woods of rosewood, grenadill, ebony and tropcal boxtree count to the tropical woods coming from tropical areas in Asia and Latin America.
With great luck I was able to get a big amount of european boxwood logged in 1990 from the French Pyrenees. It ever since is maturing in my storage rooms. Therefor I can guarantee you, that I am offering, from my own manufacturing, recorders made only from the finest and slowly matured boxtree wood.
